Supporting intimate relationships in adult care settings

In this 30-minute course you will learn about sexuality and sexual expression and its importance in the daily lives of everyone.

We will explore people’s right to sexual expression and learn about the laws that protect everyone from abuse.

You will also get practical advice on creating an environment where people feel comfortable talking about sexuality and relationships, and how you can anticipate and manage sexually inappropriate behaviour.

Throughout the course you will be asked to reflect on your personal beliefs and think about how you can advocate for the people you care for.

We suggest you have pen and paper handy to record your thoughts.
